We have received a number of comments and complaints from Dronfield residents over the recent work undertaken by Network Rail.

 

Their brutal approach to tree felling and removal of vegetation has resulted in huge areas of exposed land and has had a big impact on the wildlife, landscape and noise.

What action can be taken?

 

We are particularly concerned over the approach taken by Network Rail in a defined Conservation Area, without any sympathy for the dramatic impact this work has caused.

 

We now have further evidence to show that this is a national issue, and, with others, are questionning the overall attitude and acountability of Network Rail. We are working with other organisations and our MP to bring about a positive response from NR. Our letter to Network Rail and their initial response is shown below.
