Unstone Line
In 2012 a successful application for a Community Action Grant allowed us to make improvements to the former mineral line at Unstone. The project included making a dangerous section of boardwalk safe, reinstating the date stone for one of the former collieries along the route and installing interpretation panels about the environmental and heritage value of this once industrial landscape. Further work along Unstone Line has included replacement of the wooden panel supporting legs and clearance of Himalayan Balsam.
