Into the Next Decade

On Wednesday 15th May 2019, Dronfield Civic Society held an Evening of Celebration to recognise the work of local people who help make our town a better place and to review the achievements of the Society over the last thirty years.

See the Awards page to find out who the winners for 2019 are.

We said Goodbye to Chairman John Fletcher who has twelve years of active service with the Society.  Gifts were presented to John by the new Chair John Hinchcliffe who will lead the Society into the next decade.

We welcomed three new Committee Members, two of whom are Town Councillors.  Together they bring a wealth of expertise as we anticipate a closer liaison between the Society and the Town, District and County Council.

Many members and guests attended the evening.  We would like to thank the judges, Rector Peter Bold, the new Mayor Lilian Deighton, Patron Dave Berry and Mike Firth of the Eye for supporting the event.  Thank you to the two Janets for organising the hospitality table.
